Benefits: Employee discounts Home office stipend Paid time off Position Summary The Program Manager plays a vital leadership role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of educational services and programs. Working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Education, this position oversees tutoring services, small-group instruction, and specialized educational programs while ensuring a high-quality experience for students, families, tutors, instructors, and community partners. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-driven, passionate about education, and committed to supporting student success through effective program management and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Program Management & Coordination Lead the day-to-day administration and coordination of one-to-one tutoring services, small-group classes, and specialized educational programs. Recruit, onboard, train, support, and retain qualified tutors and instructors. Match students with appropriate tutors and educational services based on individual needs and goals. Maintain accurate program records, student files, assessments, and reporting documentation. Oversee curriculum and assessment resources to ensure program quality and effectiveness. Serve as the primary point of contact for families, tutors, educators, school district personnel, and other stakeholders. Monitor program performance and recommend improvements to enhance student outcomes and service delivery. Community Engagement Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with schools, community organizations, colleges, universities, and other educational partners. Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach activities. Promote awareness of programs and services within the community. Instructional Support Teach classes, workshops, or educational programs as needed. Provide guidance and support to tutors and instructors regarding instructional practices and student needs. Resource & Advocacy Support Serve as a trusted resource for students, families, tutors, and community members seeking educational support. Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding available programs, services, and educational resources. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) required. Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field preferred. Experience Experience working in education, tutoring, academic support services, or program coordination required. Classroom teaching experience preferred. Experience supervising staff, volunteers, or educational professionals is a plus. Required Skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail. Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general office technology. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Access, student databases, or learning management systems is beneficial. Preferred Skills Presentation and public speaking experience. Experience with educational assessments and curriculum resources. Program planning, evaluation, and reporting experience. Physical Requirements Primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of up to 10 pounds. Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. Work is performed in a typical office and educational environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
