Equipment Operator

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of machinery and vehicles used in construction, maintenance, and other industrial settings. The individual will ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment while adhering to company policies and all safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as bobcats and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner. Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functioning and safety. Monitor and assess work sites to determine equipment needs and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to specifications. Follow safety procedures and report any hazards, incidents, or defective equipment to supervisors. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and project plans as required. Assist with manual labor tasks as needed. Keep accurate records of work completed and equipment usage. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating equipment. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and minor repairs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions. Strong awareness of safety standards and ability to follow protocols. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NCCER, equipment operation training) are highly desirable. Experience working on construction or industrial sites. Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematics, and blueprints. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
