About the Role Our client is seeking diligent and systematic Video Game Regression Testers to ensure the stability and integrity of our game builds after updates and bug fixes. This role is crucial for maintaining the high quality of our games by verifying that previously resolved issues remain fixed and that no new problems have been introduced. This position is fully remote , allowing you to work from any location within Mexico and contribute to our development cycle. Key Responsibilities Execute regression test suites to confirm that bug fixes have been implemented correctly. Identify any new bugs or unintended side effects introduced by recent code changes. Perform sanity checks on various game features to ensure overall system stability. Update and maintain regression test cases as needed. Report test results clearly and concisely, documenting any failures or anomalies. Collaborate with the QA team and developers to prioritize and track defects. Contribute to the automation of regression testing where applicable. Ensure that game builds meet the required quality standards before release. Requirements Previous experience in software testing, with a focus on regression testing. Understanding of software development lifecycles and QA methodologies. Ability to meticulously follow test plans and execute test cases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills in Spanish, with the ability to document issues effectively. Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. A passion for video games and a commitment to quality assurance. Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Basic scripting or automation knowledge is a plus.
