About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of People Ops Shared Services to lead the development and management of a centralized HR infrastructure that supports its extensive network of locations. This strategic role is pivotal in ensuring consistent and high-quality HR execution across the country, particularly in the areas of payroll, benefits, compliance, HRIS, compensation, and M&A integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable systems and playbooks, reducing variance in HR operations, and driving process standardization. A key focus will be on absorbing the technical complexity of HR to allow field HR and operational leaders to concentrate on talent, culture, and performance. Candidates for the VP of People Ops Shared Services role at the company must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive HR experience, with a strong background in at least four of the core HR functions. The role requires a proven track record in building or scaling HR shared services in a multi-site environment, experience in M&A HR integration, and a deep understanding of multi-state labor law and compliance. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, resourceful, and have the ability to lead a high-performing team with a service-oriented culture. While not mandatory, experience in high-volume, blue-collar industries and a background in a rapidly acquiring company are considered advantageous. The role demands a hands-on, high-ownership approach, and the ability to be a trusted partner to field HR leaders and operational executives.
