Mechanical Simulation/CAE Engineer for AI Training

Apply deep mechanical simulation and computer-aided engineering expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through real-world technical workflows, examples, and feedback. This remote contractor role is designed for STEM professionals who use AI coding agents as practical tools in advanced engineering work. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed walkthroughs of using AI coding agents, including Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, for complex mechanical engineering simulation and CAE work.
• Demonstrate and document real-world uses of AI agents to navigate large codebases, debug difficult issues, and develop end-to-end solutions.
• Describe and assess engineering problems, design challenges, and architectural changes addressed through AI-generated code sequences.
• Contribute written and verbal feedback on the performance and limitations of AI tools in mechanical simulation and CAE contexts.
• Curate representative advanced workflow examples that emphasize coding sequence generation rather than chatbot-style interactions.
• Explain the approach, rationale, and technical complexity behind selected examples to support AI training.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and communicate insights clearly through established channels.

• Extensive hands-on experience in simulation-heavy and CAE-heavy mechanical engineering assignments.
• Proficiency using Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork as coding sequence generators in technical scenarios.
• Ability to apply AI agents to complex engineering challenges involving ambiguous requirements, large-scale debugging, or architectural overhauls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn complex workflows into concise documentation and actionable feedback.
• Current involvement in STEM work and practical use of AI agents to extend real-world engineering problem-solving.
• Experience documenting technical workflows and delivering insights that support technology improvement or training.
• Familiarity with AI-driven engineering tools and a demonstrated willingness to experiment with and adapt to new technologies.
