About the Job MedStar Health is looking for a registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Metropolitan Vascular Institute. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Primary Duties Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality. Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance regularly. Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, explains procedures. Obtains vital signs and documents results. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Performs radiographic examinations. May assist a licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as appropriate and consistent with applicable state statutes. Requests and orders supplies as needed to keep materials on hand. Checks drug supplies and informs the appropriate person of what needs to be re-stocked. Qualifications ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology license in the State of Maryland. Associate degree preferred.
