You will be responsible for managing the technical direction of your team through the lens of the customer, factory, and services. You will also be responsible for partnering and collaborating with internal engineering, product management, program management, manufacturing, test, and quality teams to ensure your products meet the rigorous standards and performance of Jabil’s world-class manufacturing environments and our end customers.What will you do? - Guide and manage the delivery of a portfolio of development efforts for new and sustaining programs for server and storage products.Organize teams and drive solutions for multiple, complex problems cross-functionally and within various areas of technical expertise (hardware, software, firmware, performance, interoperability, etc.).Apply the right level of execution discipline and engineering rigor to all technical program deliverables – lead by example.Make key decisions with respect to quality and features that may impact customer experience.Influence individuals, teams, and executives to support the delivery of programs within schedule, scope, and budget boundaries.Understand how technical decisions impact the broader business, factories, and customers and use these insights to lead the broader organization to optimized outcomes.Communicate complex issues in simple, actionable terms at all levels within the organization.Develop, grow, and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with peers, team members, executive leadership, customers, and external partners.Maintain team competencies in current technology and design trends, continually evaluating staffing levels, and recruiting world-class engineering talent.Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systemsHow will you get here? – Education: BS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering requiredExperience: 10-15 years of experience in an engineering product development environment working with a portfolio of products with enterprise server, storage, or networking experience is requiredA minimum of 4+ years of experience directly managing an engineering team is requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Exceptional product development and program management skillsExpert understanding of Agile and phase gate development methods with the ability to drive organizational transformationDeep experience in process development and process improvementAbility to lead the development of complex processes spanning multiple functions and areas of expertisePrior end-to-end development experience spanning architecture, engineering design, test and sustainingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel Domestic and/or international travel, up to 25%, may be requiredPreferred Qualifications: Servant LeadershipExperience managing in an upward directionSelf- directed leadershipManaging remote, multi-national, and geographically dispersed teams is highly desiredBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
