LHH is partnered with a small, privately held software company on a newly created Controller search! As the company continues to grow, primarily through organic growth, this individual will play a key role in bringing the accounting function fully in-house and building the future accounting team. Opportunity to build the accounting function from the ground up Significant visibility with executive leadership Company expected to nearly double revenue over the next few years Opportunity to build and lead a future accounting team Exposure to strategic initiatives, investor reporting, and potential M&A activity Chance to be part of an early-stage Nashville office buildout Responsibilities: Own the month-end and year-end close processes Build and enhance internal controls Manage deferred revenue and revenue recognition Prepare internal and external financial reporting Coordinate tax matters with the outside accounting firm Support investor relations activities related to accounting and finance Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: 6+ years of accounting experience required CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred ASC 606 experience required, including a strong understanding of recurring revenue models and revenue recognition SaaS or technology industry experience preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-growth environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
