Role Summary

The Fundraising Manager leads the organization's fundraising strategy by developing and implementing initiatives that generate financial support for programs and operations. The role is responsible for planning fundraising campaigns, building relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, and identifying new funding opportunities. The Fundraising Manager works collaboratively with internal teams to ensure fundraising efforts align with the organization's mission, strategic goals, and annual objectives.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization's fundraising strategy and annual fundraising plan.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and individual donations.
• Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
• Prepare fundraising proposals, sponsorship packages, grant applications, and donor communications.
• Monitor fundraising performance, track income against targets, and prepare regular reports for leadership and the Board.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to promote fundraising campaigns and increase donor engagement.
• Maintain accurate donor records and ensure timely acknowledgements and stewardship activities.
• Recruit, coordinate, and support fundraising volunteers where applicable.
• Ensure fundraising activities comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
• Research emerging fundraising trends and recommend innovative strategies to diversify revenue streams.

Annual Giving

• Handles all direct mail campaigns and online giving appeals in partnership with other volunteers.
• Recurring Donation Appeal
• Mid-year Appeal
• Colorado Gives Day
• Holiday Giving Appeal Events
• Provide event planning support for the annual event and cultivations events
• Design, produce and/or assemble event materials in partnership with Marketing department
• Work with Marketing department to promote the events
• Identify potential sponsors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, sales, or partnership management is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and grant writing.
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and donor or CRM databases is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze fundraising data and prepare performance reports.
• Passion for the organization's mission and commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, committee members, leadership, and external stakeholders.
