HVAC Start Up Technician

Description As the AC Start Up & Warranty Technician, you will work with customers to ensure they receive all appropriate warranty and product service options, including final stage checks, corrections, warranty handling, and scheduled calls. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Duties/Responsibilities Troubleshoot single and triple‑phase installations. Verify that heating and cooling equipment is installed correctly and confirm proper operation of cooling and heating systems (e.g., drain lines, coils). Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools. Assess customer needs and offer appropriate products and services. Create and maintain a database of retail, new‑construction, and product‑registration leads. Provide feedback on competition and marketplace positioning. Build strong relationships with vendor partners to stay current on industry information. Handle product registration for retail and commercial new‑construction installations. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous in‑house sales experience. Customer service skills. High‑quality organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Multitasking ability. Networking skills and community relationship building. Excellent critical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills. Education And Experience High‑school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of residential field experience. Two years of experience in start‑up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues. Experience with retrofit and new‑construction HVAC installations. EPA certification preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean motor‑vehicle record. Pass a drug screen. Reliable HVAC tools. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
