Registered Nurse - Peri-Anesthesia (Pre-Op & Post-Op)

Schedule

This position offers 10-hour shift lengths with varied start times, including weekend coverage. Minimum guaranteed hours are 40 per week.

Job Description

Join a Level II Trauma center as a Registered Nurse specializing in both Pre-Op and Post-Op care for surgery patients, along with occasional Pre-Op care for GI patients. This role will provide essential support in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care in Pre-Op and Post-Op settings.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comprehensive care.
• Document patient information and care plans using EPIC EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding procedures and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.

Desired Skills

• Certified Peri-Anesthesia nurse (CPAN) and/or Certified Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia (CAPA) certification.
• Successful completion of prior travel assignments.
