Help

• You will Perform a variety of routine law enforcement and security duties, such as responding to standard service calls and conducting patrols, under regular supervision while in a training and developmental capacity.
• You will have the ability to interpret and apply established guidelines and procedures to common incidents, referring more complex situations or deviations to a supervisor for guidance.
• You will demonstrate the capacity to learn and apply skills in traffic safety management, basic investigation, and the use of specialized law enforcement equipment and computer systems.
• You will Independently handle a range of law enforcement duties, including investigating minor crimes, managing traffic incidents, and enforcing laws and regulations with progressively less supervision.
• You will Exercise judgment in resolving common incidents and is expected to handle more difficult and responsible assignments as experience is gained, working towards the full performance level.
• You will Possesse a foundational knowledge of anti-terrorism, physical security, and investigative techniques, sufficient to conduct preliminary inquiries and support higher-level investigations

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• You will Complete the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy.
• You will have 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309.

Qualifications

This position requires rotating shift work.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
