The next may need help improving shoulder mobility or getting comfortable walking again after an injury.As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll help carry out the treatment program already established by the PT and make sure patients are performing exercises safely and correctly.You'll also keep the Physical Therapist updated on how patients are responding so their rehabilitation can stay on track.Day-to-Day DutiesProvide PTA treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical TherapistLead prescribed strengthening and mobility exercisesAssist patients with balance, coordination, and functional movementMonitor symptoms and treatment tolerance during sessionsCommunicate patient observations to the supervising PTReinforce exercise instructions and proper movement techniqueDocument treatments and patient responsePrepare therapy equipment and treatment areasFollow clinic procedures and professional standards of care
