Scope of Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition, safety, and functionality of all buildings, grounds, and facility systems within the production plant. This position ensures the facility operates efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep while supporting production operations with minimal disruption.

Basic Function

1. Routine inspections of facility to determine any outstanding work necessary.
2. Perform basic plumbing repairs including sinks, toilets, drains, and water lines.
3. Completing necessary documentation for all inventory
4. Assist with office moves, equipment relocations, and facility modifications.
5. Assist with preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment.
6. Light electrical work within qualifications
7. Grounds maintenance of property
8. Cosmetic work such as painting, drywall, flooring, and ceiling tile installation.
9. Follow and Carryout GMP, SQF, and Food Safety policies. Report any deviations to management.
10. Uphold the Company Core Values.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Educational and Experience Requirements:

1. Diploma/GED
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

1. Experience with pumps, air, and hydraulics a plus.
2. Ability to support business needs with flexible hours.
3. The employee occasionally will be required to enter the process and raw material unloading areas. Access to these areas may require climbing stairs or ladders and/or traversing metal grid flooring.
4. Normal dexterity is required for computer data entry and occasional use of hand tools may be required for equipment adjustment or repair.
5. Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
6. The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)

Other:

1. Computer skills including Windows, Word, and Excel. SAP a plus.
2. Good oral and written communication skills.
3. Follow all DGA policies and procedures.
4. Willing to complete additional training as needed.
