Position Overview

Perfect Star Medical is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Primary Care team in Longview, Texas. This full-time position entails diagnosing and treating a diverse range of health conditions and promoting preventive health practices. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, the Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with a staff of five medical doctors and five other nurse practitioners to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Work Environment

This role will be based onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility in Longview, working Monday through Friday, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, concluding at 5:00 PM each day. You will have access to state-of-the-art medical technology and resources to aid in patient assessment and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
• Review and interpret laboratory results as well as diagnostic tests including blood tests and X-rays.
• Diagnose a variety of health conditions and develop treatment plans suited to each patient's needs.
• Prescribe medications while actively monitoring patients’ responses to treatment regimens.
• Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling, and documentation to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and preventive healthcare practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers within the facility to manage patient care effectively.
• Participate in ongoing professional education and research to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Promote health and wellness initiatives aimed at disease prevention within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults to seniors, with varying health conditions. Our focus includes promoting preventive care and managing chronic illnesses, ensuring that all patients have access to quality medical treatment and health education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field, with a Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant, with experience in primary care strongly favored.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas (valid Texas State PA license and PA-C required).
• DEA number for prescribing medications.
• Firm understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills and ethical standards in patient management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development and clinical practice improvements.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in acute care, family health, internal medicine, or urgent care will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
