Equipment Operator

Job Responsibilities Operate equipment including frontend loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat, and skid steer Follow all Sims safety regulations and golden rules Provide pre‑shift and end‑of‑shift inspections, greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas Perform routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning Complete inspection report prior to using equipment Safely operate machinery under the direction of the shift supervisor or production manager Load trucks, pile scrap material, load/unload barges and rail cars End‑shift cleanup and equipment inspection Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality Commit to the overall safety of the work environment, sweeping and shovelling residual waste from the process Other duties may be assigned Job Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Valid driver’s license Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to meet the physical demands described above EEO & Accommodations Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
