Pay: $65,000-$75,000/year

Job Summary:


Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their team in West Houston. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing payroll and a strong understanding of payroll practices and procedures. UKG experience and global payroll experience are highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and timely for employees across multiple pay groups
• Review payroll information for accuracy, including hours, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure information is updated accurately
• Process new hires, terminations, status changes, and other employee changes
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Calculate and process payroll deductions, garnishments, and other adjustments
• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
• Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related accounts
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
• Partner with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll-related issues
• Assist with audits and payroll reporting as needed
• Support international/global payroll processes, as applicable
• Perform other payroll and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and procedures
• UKG experience preferred
• Global payroll experience preferred
• Experience with multi-state payroll is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
