TDS Lab Automation Co-Op

Johnson & Johnson seeks a motivated co-op student to support drug product development through laboratory experimentation, process development, and automation initiatives. The six-month role (January-June 2027, flexible) involves designing analytical tools, analyzing experimental data, and contributing to digital innovation projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate Process Analytical Technology tools for batch characterization across drug portfolio
• Support digital simulation, modeling projects, and primary container/device initiatives
• Analyze and interpret experimental data using analytical and statistical methods
• Participate in technical discussions on experimental design and problem-solving
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and technical documentation per company guidelines

Requirements

• Completed freshman year at accredited university; juniors and seniors preferred
• Bachelor's degree pursued in chemistry, biomedical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related disciplines
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and active enrollment throughout co-op assignment
• Legal authorization to work in U.S.; no current or future visa sponsorship required
• No conflicting internship or employment commitments during program dates
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
• Experience or coursework in robotics, automation, process development, or wet lab techniques preferred
