Group Fitness Instructor

Principal Responsibilities:

Job Summary


Group Exercise Instructors lead, instruct and motivate individuals or groups in various exercise activities, including cardiovascular workouts, strength and stretching. $20-$35/Hr


Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, efficient and fun group fitness class to a diverse group of physical capabilities
• Come prepared and arrive 10-15 mins prior to start of class
• Encourages participants to reach their fitness and wellness goals
• Have their music cued and ready before class is scheduled to start
• Properly introduce themselves to the participants
• Record attendance on Group Ex Pro Instructor portal
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each participant
• Communicate with other staff and supervisor on GroupMe app
• Keeps up to date on safety and fitness trends
• Maintains a positive attitude for members and staff
• Post substitute request on Group Ex Pro in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements & Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid certification
• Hold a nationally accredited group exercise certification
• Maintain proper certifications for all programs taught
• Must be comfortable in front of group and be able to motivate participants
• Ability to work with a diverse population and demonstrate an appreciation for individual capabilities
• Must download and use GroupMe app for all communication
• Must download and use Group Ex Pro Instructor Portal
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
