Job Summary
We are seeking Barre Fitness Instructor to join our New York City Studio (West Harlem and Upper West Side). As an Instructor you will lead classes ensuring that people of all fitness levels are able to participate. Set sequences will be given upon hiring, but we encourage our Instructors to add their our sequences once established. Your goal is to help our UpDog clients reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it! Our ideal candidate is a positive, engaging Instructor with a passion for fitness.
Classes we are Hiring For Tuesday - Friday Mornings 6:00am - 11:00am Saturday and Sundays Sub Classes Available
Responsibilities
Lead a class size of 13-22 clients
Develop classes that are physically challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe (modifications encouraged)
Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions
Promote Studio programs, classes, and memberships
Qualifications
Barre Certification Required
Early Mornings (6am - 10am) and Weekend Availability is preferred, but not limited too.
Dance Background/Knowledge a plus
Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
