About Us

Landmark Excavating, a premier heavy civil contractor based in American Fork, UT, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our growing team.

We specialize in a wide range of projects, including public works, UDOT roadways, private developments, residential subdivisions, city parks, and underground utilities. Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on underground utilities, grading, and roadway work.
• Experience with HCSS and CPM scheduling (or similar project management systems).
• Strong understanding of estimating, budgeting, and project tracking.
• Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate with superintendents .
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive in problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Review and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Track progress, forecast costs, and manage change orders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate clearly with clients and leadership regarding project status and needs.
• Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety on every project.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement practical solutions.
• Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid, and scheduling software.
• Understanding of OSHA and UDOT standards preferred.
