Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Oakland, California

This full-time opportunity is designed for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of kindergarten students within a special day class setting. Located near Oakland, CA, this contract position runs through the end of the school year, with a weekly commitment of 30-32 hours.


Your expertise will help shape the school experience for a dedicated student, working closely with educational teams under the supervision of a BCBA (provided by your agency). Fully credentialed professionals who reside locally are highly encouraged to apply, as travel candidates cannot be considered for this assignment.


What you'll need:

• Current and active RBT credential (please submit proof with your application)
• Prior experience in a school setting highly preferred
• Previous work with kindergarten-aged children or in special education classrooms a plus
• Familiarity with individualized behavior intervention plans and data collection
• Willingness to complete the district's fingerprinting and onboarding processes, in addition to staffing agency onboarding
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and families

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct 1:1 behavior support to a kindergarten student in a structured classroom
• Implement individualized behavior plans designed in coordination with your supervising BCBA
• Collect and document detailed data to measure progress and guide interventions
• Adapt behavior strategies as needed to ensure an inclusive, supportive learning space
• Participate actively in team discussions and classroom activities
