This 1st shift Assembler role focuses on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly in a large manufacturing environment. You will use hand, power, and hydraulic tools to build and assemble components according to work instructions, blueprints, or manuals. The position requires precise measurement skills, the ability to work with both metric and imperial units, and a willingness to train in multiple areas of the operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly tasks using hand, power, and hydraulic tools.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and manuals to assemble components accurately.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools to work with both metric and imperial units, including performing basic conversions.
• Ensure all assemblies meet quality standards and are completed in accordance with specified procedures.
• Work effectively in a large manufacturing environment, adapting to different areas and tasks as needed.
• Train in multiple areas of the operation to support production needs and broaden skills.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Stand for extended periods (approximately 75% of the time or more) while performing assembly work on concrete floors.
• Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to scheduled work hours, including overtime when required.
• Accept and apply instructions from supervisors and trainers to continuously improve performance and productivity.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of prior assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and practical experience using hand, power, and hydraulic tools for at least 6 months.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or manuals.
• Proficiency using a tape measure and working with both metric and imperial measurements, including performing conversions.
• Comfort working in a large manufacturing environment without becoming overwhelmed.
• Willingness to train in multiple areas and take on varied assembly tasks.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and adapt to feedback.
• Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
• Hydraulic assembly experience, including working with hydraulic components and systems.
• Electrical assembly experience, including working with basic electrical components.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work on concrete floors.
• Comfort working in environments that may be dark, dusty, or dirty in certain areas.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large manufacturing facility with multiple buildings and concrete floors, where you will be standing at least 75% of the time. The environment can be dark, musky, and dirty in some areas, and you will work with industrial tools and equipment provided on-site. Metatarsal steel-toe footwear is required, and safety glasses and hearing protection are mandatory and provided. Typical attire includes jeans with a t-shirt or sweatshirt; shorts and sweatpants are not permitted. The schedule consists of 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with 1st shift running from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and regular overtime available on Fridays, offering both day and night work options within a structured production setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shady Grove, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Shady Grove,PA.
