This is a clerical position which is the first line representative to the hospitals and surgery centers and is responsible for scheduling operative procedures. This position works as a team member of the clinic.Responsibilities:Coordinates the scheduling of surgical procedures accurately, recognizing the importance and relationship to patient careVerifies insurance benefits for surgical casesObtains insurance pre-certification and authorization for surgical casesCoordinates and schedules patient pre-op, pre-admit and post-op appointmentsSchedules all meetings for provider, including attorney and vendor meetingsMaintains, coordinates and manipulates provider clinic schedule to accommodate surgical cases, CME, vacation, court appearance, attorney depositions and all other meetings for the provider, using both Epic and MS Outlook programsRequirements:High school graduate or equivalent preferredMinimum two (2) years of clerical experience in a medical environmentOur Values:As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $22.97 - $33.05 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
