Direct Hire
Pay Rate: DoE
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8am-5pm
Travel: 50% (local/domestic)  

Job Overview:
The Technical Customer Service team is known for its exceptional customer service track record; the Technicians play a huge role in strengthening customer relationships through answering customer questions, repairing their product, identifying trends, and providing feedback to our Engineering group.

The Field Service Technician primarily supports the hardware side of our traffic calming products (speed trailers, pole-mounted signs, and traffic data collectors). The Field Repair Technician interacts with customer personnel both on-site and remotely. This role will require some local and domestic travel but it’s generally scheduled in advance (typically at least a week in advance for any trips requiring an overnight stay). You may also be required to work in outdoor environments, including hot and cold climates.

Job Description:

• Maintaining excellent customer service.
• Scheduling and performing of field repairs
• Repairing returned products down to the board level
• Aiding customers in set-up, configuration and troubleshooting of devices
• Supporting customers with Traffic Dynamics software
• Reporting on repairs using proprietary software.
• Documenting customer interactions through activity reports and completing field repair documentation to record repair activities in the company’s database
• Interacting with all levels of personnel within an agency.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The employee may be required to work in outdoor environments, including hot and cold climates.

Requirements:

• Minimum Associate degree or equivalent 3 years experience 
• Minimum 1-3 years of field service experience.
• Ability to interpret schematics
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer skills – Should be able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision while on assignment
• Ability to communicate and interact with all levels within an agency’s organization
• Ability to present a driving record acceptable to insurer
• Up to 50% domestic travel
• Ability to embrace data-centric programs and apps (both computer and mobile device apps)
• Strong computer experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
