Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis. You’ll play a key role in helping children develop vital communication skills, working closely with a collaborative team and under the direction of supervising speech-language pathologists. This opportunity features two openings and offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

The two available roles begin at 7 hours per day (35 hours weekly), though hours may adjust to 5.75 per day (28.75 hours weekly) as additional staff are engaged. There’s also potential for one role to increase to 30 hours weekly as approvals finalize, offering flexibility and growth.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid SLPA licensure or certification as required by the state
• Prior experience in a school-based setting highly valued
• Familiarity with elementary age groups and the ability to adapt to their communication needs
• Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, or a willingness and comfort to work with learners using AAC devices
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervising SLPs and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language interventions to elementary-aged students, under supervision
• Support AAC needs for students, implementing recommended strategies and device usage
• Collect and report data on student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Assist with assessments and preparation of therapy materials
• Foster a positive and supportive environment conducive to student growth
