Global Lead, Scientific Platforms & Engagement Strategy Location: Cambridge, MA, Morristown, NJ About the Job Sanofi is accelerating its modernization journey, supporting its Take the Lead strategy to become more focused, integrated, agile, and efficient. The Medical Innovation team is at the forefront of transforming the way science is exchanged, moving from static publications and slide decks to immersive, AI‑powered, personalized scientific experiences. As the architect of how science is consumed in the AI era, the Global Lead will design and incubate Sanofi’s next‑generation scientific engagement platforms—GenAI‑powered content, immersive medical education environments, and external LLM platforms—while coordinating omnichannel strategy with Business Operations and GTMC teams. Main Responsibilities Scientific Platform Strategy & Design : Define and own the Scientific Platforms roadmap; redesign “scientific exchange” from static communication to dynamic, personalized experiences across all channels; lead strategic design and incubation of GenAI content creation, immersive medical education, and emerging engagement technologies; build a vision for omnichannel engagement, coordinating with GTMC to ensure standardized deployment; identify and evaluate emerging content technologies and immersive platforms; design platform architectures enabling personalized delivery at scale; define KPI and impact framework before handoff to operational teams. Innovation Incubation & Testing Use Cases : Act as the primary incubator for platform innovations—partner with Digital to scout & evaluate technologies, design use cases, define KPI frameworks, and manage proof‑of‑concept initiatives; lead selection of AI and immersive technology use cases; design and lead end‑to‑end use cases from vendor engagement to proof‑of‑concept delivery; define success metrics, adoption frameworks, and readiness assessment for scale; collaborate with Scientific Communications and Field Excellence for smooth handoff; track performance post‑“test & learn” phase, capturing adoption data and impact metrics. GBU & Cross‑Functional Partnership : Serve as embedded scientific platforms partner to Medical GBUs, ensuring designs reflect GBU priorities; collaborate with GTMC to align omnichannel strategies; represent the function in the Medical Innovation Council; partner with Digital AI teams on technical architecture, vendor build, and integration; engage external technology partners, academic institutions, and content ecosystems; communicate strategy, progress, and results clear to senior leadership. Governance & Compliance : Ensure all platforms and AI‑generated content meet regulatory, MLR review, and ethical standards; develop governance protocols for GenAI content creation, immersive technology use, and medical education management; stay current on evolving regulatory guidance for AI‑generated medical content and immersive engagement. About You 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Medical Education, or Digital Health with a focus on platform or content innovation. Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or Master’s in life sciences or related field) preferred; additional qualifications in Digital Health, Instructional Technology, or AI are a strong plus. Demonstrated experience with AI‑powered content platforms, immersive medical education technologies, or omnichannel communications in a global or cross‑functional setting. Proven track record of managing complex, multi‑stakeholder platform innovation projects in global, matrixed pharmaceutical environments. Familiarity with GenAI content tools, immersive technologies (AR/VR), or medical education platforms. Strong communication skills; ability to influence senior leadership and present complex ideas with confidence. Leadership & Skills Visionary platform strategist with deep expertise in scientific communication, medical education technology, and digital content innovation. Deep understanding of GenAI applications and immersive technologies transforming HCP education and scientific engagement. Proven ability to bridge medical/scientific expertise with technology platform design, translating complex science into compelling experiences. Track record of leading product/innovation initiatives from concept to scale in a life‑sciences environment. Excellence in cross‑functional collaboration across Medical Affairs, Digital, GTMC, and Scientific Communications. Executive Competencies Platform Vision : Designs end‑to‑end scientific platform strategies that connect content, technology, and HCP engagement. Scientific Credibility : Commands respect from Medical and Scientific stakeholders while translating capabilities for Digital and Commercial partners. Innovation Incubation : Manages the full innovation lifecycle with rigorous KPI‑driven decision‑making. Omnichannel Thinking : Integrates platforms with field, digital, and omnichannel engagement strategies. Regulatory Acumen : Navigates MLR review, AI content governance, and pharmaceutical communication compliance. Travel Requirements This global role requires approximately 20–25% travel to engage with GBU teams, technology partners, and external scientific ecosystems. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $206,250.00 – $297,916.66.
