Job Summary The Bookkeeper is responsible for a variety of accounting and financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, resident account administration, and financial recordkeeping. This position works closely with residents, staff, vendors, and the Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently while providing exceptional service to residents, staff, and vendors. Experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or human services environments is a plus. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process accounts payable and maintain vendor records. Manage resident billing, program billing, payment processing, and account maintenance. Process bi-weekly payroll and payroll‑related changes and deductions. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. Administer resident personal allowance accounts. Maintain compliance with internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and applicable regulations. Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency. Compensation $26.00-31.00/hr; commensurate with experience and credentials. Schedule Considerations Full‑time 40 hours/wk, Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30pm Benefits ALL employees eligible to participate in EAP (Employee Assistance Program), Tax‑Deferred Annuity Retirement Plan, and SEP IRA Pension plan (after 3 years of employment). Employees regularly scheduled to work 20+ hrs/wk are eligible for Leave Sharing and employer‑paid Group Life and AD&D. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum two years of bookkeeping, payroll processing, and accounting support experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation required. Satisfactory completion of post‑offer, pre‑employment physical and background checks required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
