CT TechnologistThe CT Technologist will be tasked with delivering high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging services to patients at our San Mateo, CA clinic on a per diem basis. This role offers exciting prospects for future full-time employment and the opportunity to cross-train in various imaging modalities such as DEXA and MRI.What You Will DoInterpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professionalClearly and professionally explain the procedure, medications, or contrast media to patients, including their purpose and potential biological effects, to ensure patients are well-informed and understand the processPrepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedureAdministering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imagingExamining images to ensure they're usableAccurately document patient information and procedure details in the electronic medical record systemCleaning and maintaining CT scan equipmentAdheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safetyPerform all other duties as assignedWhat You Bring To The RoleProven experience as a CT Technologist, with a strong understanding of CT imaging principles and protocolsDeep familiarity with CT scan equipment (GE and Canon)Active ARRT certificationBasic knowledge of anatomy, biology and chemistry and how to administer IVsProblem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with CT scan equipment performanceObservational skills to notice any problems with imagesStrong oral communications skills to field patients' questions and collaborate with other members of the care teamOrganizational skills to maintain an orderly supply areaMathematics skills to manage contrast administration and maintain inventoryComputer proficiency to operate CT scan equipment, use G-suite and update medical records using health information systems softwareAbility to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalismCompensation$60 - $80 per hourWhy Join Us?Biograph is on a mission to drive meaningful advances in human healthspan and lifespan.
