MRI TechnologistThe MRI Technologist will be responsible for delivering exceptional MR imaging services to patients at our San Mateo clinic, ensuring accurate, high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient care and comfort throughout the process.What You Will Do:Interpret and follow physician orders accurately, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practicesClearly explain procedures, medications, or contrast media to patients, addressing their purpose, effects, and ensuring patient understanding and comfortReview patient history and MR safety assessments to ensure a safe and high-quality imaging experiencePosition patients appropriately and perform MR scans in accordance with physician specificationsMaintain clear communication with patients during procedures to ensure comfort and reduce anxietyInsert IV catheters, prepare contrast, and operate power injectors per protocolEvaluate scan images for quality, label and document them according to standardsClean, maintain, and operate MRI equipment, collaborating with application specialists as neededAssist in the education and training of clinical staffCollaborate with radiologists to develop and troubleshoot protocols and imaging techniquesPerform other duties as assignedWhat You Bring To The Role:Active ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB certificationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related fieldProven experience as a MRI Technologist, with a strong understanding of MRI imaging principles and protocolsExperience with PACS systemsDeep familiarity with MRI equipment (Siemens preferred)Experience with Whole Body MRI (not mandatory)Knowledge of anatomy, MRI physics and IV administrationStrong understanding of MRI safetyExcellent oral communication for addressing patient questions and collaborating with the care teamOrganizational and math skills for managing supplies, contrast administration, and inventoryStrong problem-solving and observational skills for troubleshooting equipment and ensuring optimal image qualityProficiency in operating MRI equipment, Google suite, and health information systemsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive patient informationExceptional bedside manner and ability to work effectively with diverse individualsComp | Perks | Benefits:$105,000 - $140,000 per yearEquityMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid maternity / paternity leaveUnlimited PTOBiograph MembershipWhy Join Us?Biograph is on a mission to drive meaningful advances in human healthspan and lifespan.
