Instructional Assistant, Sign Language

The job of Instructional Assistant, Sign Language is done for the purpose of assisting a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely, physically or visually handicapped students in a classroom who use American Sign Language as their primary language; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance and assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required experience: Six months of experience providing sign language interpreting for hearing impaired individuals. Experience in a school setting is preferred. Required education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required testing: Once this position closes, your application will be screened for minimum qualifications.
