HR Project Manager

Position Summary The Human Resources Project Manager / HR Operations Specialist leads and coordinates HR projects and organizational initiatives across the AFC&D organization. The role combines project management expertise with HR operational support to ensure successful implementation of business priorities, HR programs, and organizational changes. As the primary HR project execution resource, the individual plans, tracks, and delivers initiatives using established project management methodologies and tools, while supporting Corporate HR business partners in executing AFC&D HR priorities. Key Responsibilities Lead HR projects from initiation through implementation and closeout, developing and maintaining project charters, plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, and dashboards. Manage execution of multiple concurrent HR initiatives across AFC&D, facilitating project meetings, working sessions, and implementation checkpoints. Track progress against deliverables, identify risks and issues, and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure accountability for completion. Support change management and communication planning for HR initiatives, including executive summaries and status reports. Provide HR operational support to implementation activities tied to HR‑led initiatives, managing documentation, action logs, and implementation materials. Assist in gathering and organizing data required for HR project execution and support preparation of leadership presentations. Maintain HR project portfolio dashboards, tracking tools, and centralized documentation for visibility to leadership and stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve project execution, HR processes, and operational efficiency, recommending enhancements to tools, workflows, and reporting methods. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, providing support for evolving business needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Development, or related field (preferred); equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum 2 years of project management experience. Preferred experience supporting HR initiatives, organizational change, or business transformation. Strong experience using project management tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred but not required. Skills and Competencies Strong project management and execution capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence without direct authority. High attention to detail and follow‑through. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint). Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com, Asana, or similar. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Success Measures Timely delivery of HR projects and initiatives. Successful execution of organizational change and HR programs. Compensation Starting salary ranges from $0 to $0, with base pay varying based on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
