3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison Description Responsible for maintenance and repair of all factory machines and test equipment. Key Responsibilities Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems. Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate maintenance functions. Perform grounds upkeep and snow removal as required. Responsible for preventive maintenance and Facility repairs. Assist janitorial staff as required. Assist preventative maintenance as required. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Position Qualifications Skills and Abilities Read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Utilize common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Provide accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards. Have sufficient interpersonal skills to work closely with others on a team. Demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks. Be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic principles, repairs, and trouble shooting. Have prior PLC knowledge (preferred but not required). Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic drawings and prints. Work quickly and accurately. Physical Activities Continuously required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; stand. Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; push or pull; walk. Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs.; sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension. The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing. Specific hearing abilities required: need to perceive spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70 dB with or without assistance. Specific speech abilities regularly required: comprehensible speech. Work Environment Position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment. Noise level is usually moderate. Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazards; infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions.
