Under the direction of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Temporary Research Assistant will assist in research on the lab grant deliverables. Incumbent will review, provide quality control, and analyze study data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Works under the direction of the PI or his/her designee. Responsible for executing laboratory tasks as outlined by the Principal Investigator or a senior member of laboratory team. Performs functions as directed for experiments that are proposed in the grant, under the direction of the principal investigator and other designated lab members. Maintains department database on a computer. Candidate must have competent computer skills and be able to utilize equipment and technology in support of the assigned project(s). Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and ability to summarize scientific research process and communicate project findings. FLSA: Nonexempt Grade: 99H Salary Details Minimum Salary: 15.92 Mid Range Salary: 75.00 Maximum Salary: 150.00 Offer Information: The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of related research/project experience is preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Lab environment. Moderate noise.
