Temporary Research Assistant

Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant to work in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions. Under the direction of Associate Professor, Temporary Research Assistant is responsible for providing support for research activities. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Assists in coordinating project activities.
• Assists with IRB related tasks including inform consent and participant recruitment.
• Assists with creating the project web page.
• Creates SNS advertisement script and conducts advertisement activities.
• Conducts community outreach and focus groups.
• Collects necessary data, checks data quality and tracks data.
• Performs data analysis under supervision.
• Assists in developing success stories, evaluating the project, and generating reports.

FLSA - Nonexempt

Grade - 99H

Salary Details - $25/hour is budgeted for this position

Minimum Salary - 15.92

Mid Range Salary - 75.00

Maximum Salary - 150.00

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Sufficient keyboard and spreadsheets skills to work with widely used programs such as Qualtrics, Excel, SPSS, and Word. Training in how to conduct focus groups, performing quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, generating appropriate reports will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree preferred. Current enrollment in psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, and social work graduate program preferred. Research experience preferred.
