Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Burlington, VT – UVM Medical Center, a world‑class academic medical center. Job Description An Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist is a specialized healthcare professional trained to assist physicians during minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures in the radiology department. The role involves ensuring the safe and accurate execution of procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheterizations. The technologist combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care to facilitate successful outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience. Call Schedule One weekend (Friday evening to Monday morning) and four weekdays (Monday–Thursday) per 12‑week cycle. Call schedule is set during orientation. Education and Certification Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT certification required. Licensed in the State of Vermont. Accumulate 200 exams as outlined by ARRT and pass the Vascular‑Interventional (VI) Radiography certification exam within 24 months of completing orientation. Verification of college transcript required. Experience One year of clinical experience in radiology is highly recommended.
