Approximately 7pm to 7am. On-site position at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.**Department/Position Overview:**Our 12-bed cardiac unit provides specialized care for patients with complex cardiovascular needs in a close-knit, team-focused environment.Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.**Education** High School Diploma or Equivalent**Certification/Licensure*** Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.* Candidates who have not completed a monitor technician surveillance program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire.
