Assistant Maintenance Manager - JLL The Assistant Maintenance Manager leverages leadership skills and technical knowledge to lead a team of maintenance mechanics, robotics, and controls systems technicians in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment. What this job involves Model safety standards and maintain a safe work environment. Lead, train, and support maintenance team members to develop skills and expand capabilities. Develop solutions to complex problems, manage outside contractors, and be on‑call for emergencies. Support multi‑site production in a safe, customer‑focused manner. Display energetic, self‑motivated, and customer‑centric behaviors. Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meeting deadlines and developing plans to achieve departmental goals. Provide oversight of preventive maintenance and serve as the client point of contact during shifts. Demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules. Move extensively throughout the facility to attend equipment and team needs. Essential functions include Partner with onsite Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to ensure safety standards are met. Meet operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including labor tracking. Own scheduling and tracking of ticket completion. Oversee building cleanliness. Ensure accurate inventory tracking. Perform daily and weekly audits for cleanliness and work orders. Implement preventive, predictive, and condition‑based maintenance programs. Maintain client‑centric relationships with operational stakeholders. Participate in budget development and tracking. Assist in project planning and cost analysis. Provide performance feedback, write performance appraisals including discipline and termination. Promote and conduct good housekeeping. Travel as required to support network needs. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior leadership experience. Flexibility to work various shifts and alternative schedules. Experience performing maintenance on industrial machinery, electrical systems, and electronic controls. Must be authorized to work within the hiring country without requiring sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing budgets and vendors. Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Experience in project management. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. Physical Demands Stand for prolonged periods and walk extensively throughout the facility. Perform repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lift parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds. Use dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, and wrist motion. Work may include elevated heights, small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces.
