Job Summary and Qualifications

The Breast Center Office Coordinator will:

• Communicate with customers promptly, professionally and cordially. Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of PACS system to assist with pulling priors and loading CDs with prior images from outside facilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the radiology information system as related to Meditech and Penrad.
• Answer telephone professionally and efficiently. Consistently provides timely and accurate information to patients and physicians.
• Schedule future appointments, collaborating with all members of the Breast Imaging team to navigate a patient through the Center to ensure timely diagnosis.
• Place calls to patients and physicians as necessary, actively works with patients and physician's offices to facilitate appointments, orders, authorizations, etc.
• Call patients for follow-up exams and obtain any prior images and/or information.

What qualifications you will need:

• Previous medical office experience required; experience in mammography is preferred
• Requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as an understanding of medical/clinical terminology and Breast Imaging.
