Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking an experienced, creative, highly talented Traffic Monitoring Operations Center (TOC) Floor Manager for immediate employment in Chesterfield, VA. This position will be a direct report to the Regional Operations Manager with direct communications with staff throughout their area of responsibility and upper-level management.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Scheduling and oversight of regional TOC floor staff initial and recurrent training programParticipate in the review of resumes, interviews, and recommend for hire/advancement opportunitiesReview and participate in the development of TOC manual, technical memos, and training materialsOversight of the regional TOC Floor Operations training program and staff auditsCoordination and leadership of regional TOC floor staffResponsible for daily TOC operations efficiency and effectiveness in providing regional traffic management, traveler information, incident management, traffic signal operations, and active vehicle detection systemsParticipation in routine performance assessments and floor staff auditsOversight of the control room’s equipment status and system reporting maintenance needsQualificationsMinimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus Eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency experience and/or educationAs a condition of employment, must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; must also successfully complete Virginia Department of Transportation fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screen and successfully participate in the program’s mandatory random drug screening processPreferred Qualifications: Experience in leadership, management, and staff relationshipExperience interpreting technical information in layperson’s terms Experience with coordinating real-time operations activities and priorities in an effective manner under pressure and in a variety of work conditions for self and support staffExperience with the day-to-day operations of the traffic control room facility. Experience in Transportation, Systems, Management and Operations (TSM&O), and Traffic engineering principles along with a general knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Experience in the use of Advanced Traffic Management Systems.Experience preparing technical and performance reports, management presentations, spreadsheet analysis, and interoffice communications. Experience in the use of standard software applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
