Account Manager

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 Base Salary + Performance-Based Bonus & Commission Opportunities (Target Total Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000+) + Vehicle Stipend Location: Owatonna, Minnesota

Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit an Account Manager for a growing commercial landscaping, property services, and snow management organization. This company has built a strong reputation by delivering exceptional service, fostering long-term client relationships, and providing year-round solutions including landscaping, lawn care, landscape enhancements, and snow and ice management. This position offers the opportunity to inherit and grow an established portfolio of commercial accounts valued at approximately $3 million to $3.5 million annually. The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between customers and operations, ensuring service excellence while driving account growth through renewals, enhancements, additional service offerings, and new business development. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and partnering closely with operations teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial customer accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers across landscaping, lawn care, enhancement, and snow management services.
• Maintain and strengthen long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Drive customer retention through contract renewals and ongoing account management.
• Identify and sell additional services, enhancement projects, and snow management solutions.
• Generate new business opportunities across all service lines.
• Prepare proposals, estimates, bids, renewals, and contract updates.
• Conduct property visits and site walkthroughs to evaluate customer needs and identify opportunities for growth.
• Partner closely with operations teams to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
• Monitor service quality and address customer concerns quickly and effectively.
• Coordinate with field leadership to resolve service issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Support revenue growth and portfolio profitability objectives.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and account information within Aspire software.
• Assist with account receivable and collection efforts when necessary.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in account management, sales, business development, customer success, or a related client-facing role.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to grow accounts, identify opportunities, and close new business.
• Experience managing multiple customers, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations and leadership teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable conducting customer meetings both in the office and in the field.
• Proficiency with CRM, ERP, or sales management software.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Experience

• Landscaping, commercial property services, snow management, construction services, facilities maintenance, building products, or related industries.
• Experience scoping and bidding service-based projects.
• Consultative sales and relationship-based account management experience.
• Experience working with commercial property managers, facility managers, contractors, or business owners.
• Aspire software experience is a plus.
