Director of US Pricing & Contracting Strategy, Virology

Gilead

Gilead Sciences seeks a Director of US Pricing & Contracting Strategy for its Virology portfolio to develop WAC pricing strategies, manage price concessions across payer and provider segments, and lead cross-functional negotiations. The role requires deep expertise in pharmaceutical pricing analytics and healthcare market dynamics.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver WAC pricing recommendations for virology in-line and pipeline products to senior leadership
Design and execute contracting strategies across payer and provider segments including commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and 340B
Lead pricing governance processes and manage price concession levers including rebates and provider discounts
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, finance, legal, and managed markets to shape product access strategies
Provide negotiation support and strategic guidance to account teams engaging with payers and providers

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience, or Master's degree with 10 years' experience, or PhD with 8 years' experience
Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
Demonstrated leadership in contract negotiation and management
Advanced degree in MBA, Health Policy, or Health Economics preferred
Expert-level knowledge of US pricing, contracting, and payer/provider segments
Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with healthcare market understanding
