About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license in hand Certifications: - ACLS - BLS Must-Have: - Candidates must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. - PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience is required. - Candidates must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. - Holiday coverage is required. - Every other weekend coverage is required. - Float required to Tele and/or MS as needed. Description: This position is for an IMC RN in a step-down unit. The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Candidates will provide care for patients with diverse conditions such as diabetes, COPD, sepsis, and more. Common procedures include chest tube management, IV infusions, and monitoring. The nurse-to-patient ratio in the IMC unit is 1:4. The position will require floating to Tele and Medical/Surgical as needed, where ratios are typically 1:5 or 1:6. Candidates must be comfortable with high-acuity patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Successful candidates will adhere to all vaccination requirements. Every candidate will be expected to manage various medical technologies and protocols.
