Accounting Supervisor

A publicly traded, global food and beverage technology and manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join its Accounting Center of Excellence, playing a key role in leading close processes, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, and driving continuous improvement across multiple entities in the Americas region. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys working across complex ERP environments, partnering cross-functionally, and taking real ownership of the close and reporting process. What You'll Do: Lead assigned areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process across multiple entities Prepare and review complex journal entries including revenue recognition, intercompany, inventory, accruals, leases, and manufacturing-related accounting Perform and review account reconciliations ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation Support and review OneStream reporting and submissions Own and execute key SOX controls including documentation and evidence retention Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit requests and walkthroughs Work across ERP environments (JDE, Epicor, Syteline 9) to ensure accurate data flow and reporting integrity Support system transitions, automation initiatives, and ERP integration efforts Provide technical accounting guidance to junior staff and business partners Identify inefficiencies in close and reporting processes and lead improvement initiatives Support post-merger integration, system alignment, and accounting process standardization Why This Role Stands Out: High autonomy with broad ownership across close, reporting, controls, and systems Exposure to post-merger integration and ERP transformation initiatives Cross-functional visibility spanning Finance, Treasury, Shared Services, and external auditors Global manufacturing environment with complex, interesting accounting work Hybrid flexibility in downtown Chicago #J-18808-Ljbffr
