Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide advanced nursing care to postpartum patients, focusing on clinical assessment, emergency response, and patient education. Ensure safety, compliance, and quality of care within a fast-paced emergency environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ clinical conditions, recognize serious situations, and promptly initiate appropriate actions.
• Develop individualized care plans, incorporating patient needs, cultural considerations, and discharge planning.
• Operate and monitor emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
• Administer medications and therapeutic measures as prescribed, including IV therapy and respiratory treatments.
• Educate patients and families on preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care tailored to their learning styles and needs.
• Oversee and delegate patient care tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safety and adherence to standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Current NY RN License required.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and performing physical tasks.
• Pre-employment credentialing clearance required (background check and drug screen).
