Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) is needed for a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility located in New Britain, Connecticut. This position involves working in a Respiratory Care Unit, providing specialized care to respiratory and vent-dependent patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)
• Location: New Britain, Connecticut
• Schedule: Evening shift, 3:00 PM 11:30 PM, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Minimum Qualifications: RN licensed to practice in Connecticut with 0 or more years of experience; prior experience with respiratory or vent-dependent patients strongly preferred. BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of RN experience; prior travel experience is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation is not required.
• Additional Information: The nurse will work in a 36-bed Respiratory Care Unit and may float to related units such as the Respiratory Step-Down Unit, Medically Complex Rehabilitation, TBI and Chronic Care, and Medical, Rehab, and Respiratory units at the satellite campus. Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, blood draws, ECGs, medication titrations, glucose monitoring, wound care, Trach care, suctioning, straight catheterization, Foley care, port access, and central line dressing changes.
• Submission Requirements: Profiles must be clean and easy to follow; any issues will be sent back for corrections. Candidates should highlight experience with respiratory/vented patients if applicable.
