Must-Have: Must have Neuroscience ICU background. Strong experience in EVD, ICP, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid, and embolization.

Description: This position requires someone with a solid background in Neuro ICU. Experience with external ventricular drains, intracranial pressure monitoring, and post angiogram care is essential. Candidates should have strong skills in continuous renal replacement therapy and carotid care. Flexibility with shifts is preferred, including rotation between day and night shifts. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required. There may be a need to float to other units if required. The unit cares for critically ill stroke patients and non-traumatic neurosurgery and neurology patients. Post-operative care includes monitoring intracranial pressure, administration of IV and IA tPA, and conducting mechanical thrombectomy. Familiarity with craniotomy and neuro-endovascular surgeries is important. Additional responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring and managing ventilator support. Candidates must comply with facility health requirements. This is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with allowances for medical or religious exemptions. The candidate should be adaptable to the changing needs of the unit and willing to support patients with various neurological diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Special equipment used in the unit includes CRRT machines and neurology-specific monitoring tools.
