Customer Care Representative / Receptionist

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Customer Care & Reception Specialist to join our client's established team in a Temp-to-Hire capacity in Hauppauge, NY! Serving as both the primary face of the company and a key customer support resource, this role combines front-desk operations with essential administrative and order-processing responsibilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a steady, focused office environment and brings computer skills, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute to our company culture. 

salary: $22 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

Front Desk & Reception

• Warmly greet visiting clients, guests, and vendors upon arrival

• Manage incoming mail, packages, and deliveries

• Maintain a professional, welcoming environment at the front reception area

Customer Care & Administration

• Handle high-volume incoming phone calls, screening and routing them appropriately

• Assist customers with inquiries regarding orders, basic billing issues, and product concerns; escalate complex matters to Consumer Affairs as necessary

• Process and enter customer orders into the system accurately

• Collaborate with the Sales and Sales Administration teams to coordinate product distribution details

• Perform high-attention-to-detail data entry, maintain Excel spreadsheets, and track order updates
