Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective return to community activities. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties related to patient care and therapy service development.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for assigned patients, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.

Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely way, including goal writing and functional quality indicator assessments, adhering to required guidelines.

Provide supervision and a positive learning environment for students as part of the educational program.

Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue professional growth through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.

Maintain professional licensure and complete all state-mandated continuing education requirements.

Engage in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.

1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.

Current CPR certification.

Active physical therapy license for the state where work will be performed.
