The Opportunity

Job Profile Summary

Within defined guidelines and framework, responsible for gathering information/evidence to resolve post-closing data and document deficiencies. Ensures required documents are cured in a timely manner and in accordance with Bank, Investor and Regulatory guidelines. Communicates frequently with members and third parties to provide process status.

Work Schedule & Locatio n

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Work Environment: We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.
• Location: This position is based in San Antonio, TX.

What you'll do:

• Uses established procedures to reconcile missing documents and may cure document deficiencies identified during the review of the collateral loan package.
• Collaborates with team members to resolve issues or identify appropriate issues for escalation.
• Adheres to specified timeframes and compliance and internal guidelines established by Post-Closing department, investors, agencies, and third-party providers.
• Follow up with internal and external third parties as needed to obtain loan documentation needed to complete and satisfy the loan file for purchase.
• Serves as the point of contact for the member when necessary to resolve missing documents required to complete the initial file.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you hav e:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
• 2 years of experience in real estate lending within a financial services organization.

• Proven ability to independently investigate issues, analyze documentation, and identify appropriate solutions before escalating concerns.
• Ability to clearly communicate errors, deficiencies, or discrepancies, including documenting the research performed, findings identified, and recommended next steps.
• Demonstrated self-starter mindset with a track record of utilizing available resources, procedures, job aids, and subject matter experts to resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize information and communicate updates to members, business partners, and third parties in a clear and professional manner.
• Knowledge of VA and Conventional mortgage loan transactions.
• Understanding of FHA guidelines and ability to identify and resolve documentation deficiencies.
• Knowledge of applicable Real Estate laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is: $43,680.00 - $67,840.00

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
